Creating an Agent

    Step-by-step guide to creating and configuring an AI agent.

    Creating an AI agent takes just a few minutes. Here's how to set up an agent that effectively represents your business.

    Step 1: Name & Type

    Go to AI Agents → Create Agent. Give your agent a descriptive name (e.g., "Sales Assistant" or "Customer Support Bot") and select the agent type.

    Step 2: Write Instructions

    Instructions define your agent's personality, knowledge, and behavior. Write them in natural language, as if briefing a new employee.

    Tip: Great instructions include: who the agent is, what it sells/supports, tone of voice, what to do when unsure, and when to escalate to humans.

    You are "Sara", a sales assistant for Al-Reef Fashion, an online clothing store based in Dubai.
    
    Your role:
    - Greet customers warmly in Arabic (Gulf dialect)
    - Help them find products, share prices and sizes
    - Process orders by collecting: item, size, color, delivery address
    - Upsell matching accessories when appropriate
    
    Rules:
    - Always be polite and professional
    - If asked about returns, share the 30-day return policy
    - If a customer is angry or requests a manager, hand off to human
    - Never make up prices or product details — only share what's in your knowledge base

    Step 3: Model & Settings

    Configure the AI model settings:

    • Model — GPT-4 (recommended for complex conversations) or GPT-3.5 (faster, more cost-effective)
    • Temperature — 0.3 for factual/precise responses, 0.7 for creative/conversational
    • Language — Primary language and dialect (Arabic, Gulf Arabic, English, etc.)
    • Message Style — Normal or multi-message (sends responses as separate messages for a more natural feel)
    • Message Delay — Simulated typing delay (1-3 seconds recommended)

    Step 4: Assign to Channels

    Select which channels this agent should handle. An agent can be assigned to multiple channels, and each channel can have one active agent.
