Connect Instagram Direct Messages to your inbox.
Connect your Instagram professional account to receive DMs, story replies and comments in Raqi and to run Auto-DMs.
Important: You need an Instagram professional account (Business or Creator). You sign in with Instagram itself, so no Facebook Page is needed. Personal accounts cannot connect.
Switching to a Professional Account
In the Instagram app, open your profile, tap the menu, then Account type and tools > Switch to professional account. Choose Creator or Business, pick a category and finish. Instagram sometimes renames these menus; search its Help Center for "switch to a professional account" if you cannot find them.
Connection Steps
Connecting takes a minute:
- 1. Open Channels, find the Instagram card and click Connect.
- 2. Click Log in with Instagram. Allow pop-ups for Raqi if your browser blocks the window.
- 3. Sign in to the right account and approve the permissions.
- 4. You see "Instagram Connected!" and new DMs start arriving in the Inbox.
History and Access
On a first connection Raqi imports recent conversations in the background (up to the latest 20 messages per thread). To import later, open Manage > Sync conversations. Instagram access lasts 60 days and Raqi renews it automatically. If Instagram revokes it, for example after a password change, the channel shows Disconnected and you reconnect with the same steps.

Once connected, Raqi can:
- Receive and answer DMs in the Inbox
- Run free comment-to-DM automations from Apps
- Start workflows from comments, story replies and DMs (paid plans)
- Send images, videos and voice notes
- Let an AI agent answer your DMs (paid plans)
