Connect Instagram Direct Messages to your inbox.
Connect your Instagram Professional account to receive direct messages, story replies, and comment notifications in Raqi.
Important: You need an Instagram Professional account (Business or Creator) connected to a Facebook Page. Personal accounts cannot use the Messaging API.
Prerequisites
Before connecting Instagram:
- An Instagram Professional account (switch from Settings → Account → Account Type)
- A Facebook Page linked to your Instagram account
- Admin access to the Facebook Page
- "Allow access to messages" enabled in Instagram Settings → Privacy → Messages
Connection Steps
Navigate to Channels → Connect Channel → Instagram. Authenticate with Facebook, select your Page, and grant messaging permissions. The channel will sync your existing conversation history.

Capabilities
Once connected, Raqi can:
- Receive and respond to Direct Messages
- Detect and respond to Story Replies (with workflow automation)
- Trigger workflows from post/reel comments
- Send media files (images, videos, voice messages)
- Track read receipts and delivery status
